Section I: Forum Rules
Hello, your administrator here with the following rules which must be followed at all times! So here's the rules around here:
Before signing up with The Ethereal Nation Online…
* You must be 13 or older to join. I strictly enforce this rule. (This is also on the Proboard's Terms Of Service)
* Your email address must be valid.
* Your account/user name must be appropriate to some extent. I’ll except something like ‘Blood Kill’ but nothing too sexual or suggestive in the name.
General Rules
* Stay on topic. If a thread gets too off topic for a prolonged period of time, it will be either moved or locked by a Moderator/Global Moderator.
* Flaming, bashing, spamming, double posting, l33t talk, and trolling are only to be done on a specific board called The Liberation Space, a special board where all of this is allowed.
* Now about swearing. I really don't mind if you do it, but if you absolutely have to swear an excessive amount of profanity to let out some steam, again, you can do the bulk of it in the The Liberation Space board.
* Sexual content is generally forbidden anywhere on the forum, especially the graphic galleries. If you have a picture you want to post, but are unsure if it is too inappropriate or not, contact any staff member.
* I have a zero tolerance for threats toward anyone here. I know the difference between a threat and a joke.
*No spamming in either PM's or outside 'The Liberation Space' board. You will be banned if you attempt to do this.
* And lastly: Have fun! Enjoy yourself here at The Ethereal Nation!
Repeatedly breaking these rules will result in the following actions:
* Temporary posting ban.
* Temporary ban from forum.
If for some odd reason this continues, it may lead to:
* Loss of privilages (PMs, sigs, avatars, profile, posting in specific boards).
* Post count deletion for repeated offense.
* Long Term ban from the forum, plus public humiliation because you couldn't follow ten simple rules.
* An even worse punishment involving Elmo, Top Ramen Soup, an Ace of Base CD, and Abe Lincoln's black top-hat. I've only had to do this once mind you. >:-)
Myself, Associate Administrator Master Duo Sonata, and/or a designated Moderator determine these actions. All actions are final. If you wish to argue your case, you can do so by emailing me personally at dinoson2@yahoo.com

Section II: Frequently Asked Questions
These are all answers to relatively simple questions for forum newcomers. More Faq info may be added in the future when needed.
*How do I become a member?
To register, you can click the Register icon below the forum's main banner, or simply click here.
*I have a question and/or need help with an issue. Where do I post it?
You may get assistance on anything. To ask, please make a new thread on the Forum News & Member Information board for each issue. After your issue is solved, your thread will be locked. Also, anyone is allowed to answer questions. Guests may post too.
*A post I made here is gone! What happened to it?
Threads aren't deleted unless they are inappropriate or belong in another board. If you're looking for a missing thread, it may have been relocated to a different board. You can look around for it, or just ask me to find it for you. Be sure to think before you post.

Section IV: A Brief History of our Forum
Early Online Groups: The Past
Way back in December of 1999...it was that month when I created my first online social faction called the 'Suspicious Cops'. This group, which was made within a message board on the gaming site Gamefaqs called 'Random Insanity', lasted for five years.
After its long run, I decided to disband my group and venture into creating an online community with more freedom to do as I please. I wanted a place where we could role-play, share stories, and socialize under much lighter rules.
And thus one day I came across a free message board site called ProBoards. I suppose you could say the rest is history!
A New Home, A New Name: The Present
The Ethereal Nation Online was opened to the public August 1st 2005. Originally called 'The Souls', this forum started with five boards: a Staff board, Ash's Cafe (a social board), Midnight Artisan's Library (fanfiction board), Sacred Battleground of Forgotten Souls (Rpg board), and the Outer Grounds (links and affiliates).
Ever since, the forum has undergone countless changes in layout and names, members have came and gone, but the fun experienced by the members and myself hasn't changed since the first day.
So tell your friends about us, and let The Ethereal Nation prosper evermore.
